Dansukker Jam Sugar 1000g

Dansukker Jam Sugar makes it easy to make a suitably thick and long-lasting home jam. You can also use it to make jellies (800-1000 g/litre), orange and other jams and preserves. It can also be used for filling berry pies (1 dl/5 dl of pressed berries). In addition to the crystal sugar, jam sugar contains pectin, a natural gelling agent in berries and fruit, which gives the jam a firm texture. It contains potassium sorbate, which improves the shelf life of the jam. Potassium sorbate is naturally present in rowan berries, for example. The colour and flavour of jam are best preserved in cool conditions, but in the absence of cold storage, jam made with jam sugar can also be kept at room temperature, protected from light.
