Daily dose;
A daily dose of 1 - 2 tabl. contains:
MGCPQQ® pyrroloquinolinequinone disodium salt 10 - 20 mg

Dosage
For adults 1 to 2 tablets per day. The dosage should not be exceeded. Not for pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Physiological effects:

PQQ or pyrroloquinolinequinone is a water-soluble compound discovered in microbes in 1979. It cannot be produced by humans and although it is produced in small amounts by intestinal microbes, the majority must be obtained from food. Parsley, kiwi, green peppers, papaya and tofu are good sources of PQQ.

PQQ supports mitochondrial function. Mitochondria are responsible for cellular energy metabolism, or cellular respiration. PQQ affects cell growth, development, differentiation and lifespan. This is particularly true for brain health, but also for the metabolism of the whole body.

PQQ activates AMP kinase, an enzyme system in our body and an important regulator of energy production and metabolism in our cells.

The active ingredient in Vitacell® PQQ, MGCPQQ®, is manufactured by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company of Japan. MGCPQQ® is a water-soluble compound produced by fermentation of Hyphomicrobium denitrificans strain CK-275. MGCPQQ® has been granted novel food protection in the EU on 10 August 2018. It is the only PQQ with novel food status. The maximum daily dose is 20 mg.
