Bertil's Kelasin Seleni is an excellent preparation for increasing selenium intake. Selenium is needed to maintain our body's own antioxidant system. Our own body fights the so-called free radicals produced by normal metabolism. by the enzyme glutathione peroxidase. Selenium is an indispensable part of this enzyme.

Selenium has a beneficial effect on thyroid hormone activity. Thyroid hormones continue to regulate growth and the general metabolism of our body. The lack of thyroid hormones slows down the metabolism and lowers the general state of alertness.

Selenium acts as our body's defender by binding harmful heavy metals from the bloodstream and tissues. Typical e.g. urban air pollutants include mercury, lead and cadmium.
